A magician and professional children’s entertainer based in Ealing has been selected to represent Team GB at the upcoming FISM World Championships of Magic.

Sam Hurst was picked by The Magic Circle to compete in what are often referred to as the Magic Olympics.

Taking part in this prestigious competition is regarded as the highest achievement in the world of magic. Sam will be competing in the Street Magic Finals, alongside magicians from across the globe in Turin, Italy this July.

He has had a long-standing career entertaining children and families and was awarded UK Family Entertainer of the Year in 2019. He has worked with high-profile individuals such as Jack Black, Kelly Jones of Stereophonics, Megan Fox, and Machine Gun Kelly.

With the event fast approaching Sams needs some help covering the costs of travel and accommodation and is looking for donations on his GoFundMe page. He needs £700 and, at the time of writing, had raised over £200.

This site remains committed to providing local community news and public interest journalism.

Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets.
