Ealing Road Reopens - but not for long

Thames Water puts work on hold for the Mela

Ealing Road has been reopened to southbound traffic - but only temporarily.

Thousands of people are expected in the area tomorrow (Sunday 16th August) for the seventh London Mela which is held at Gunnersbury Park.

Thames Water had been previously instructed that if the work wasn't finished the site had to be made safe and Ealing Road opened up to two-way traffic for the weekend of the event.

The company has now suspended the mains pipe replacement work to help traffic flow.

Diversions via: South Ealing Road, Little Ealing Lane, Windmill Road and the A4 will be back in place on Monday.
