Councillors to Become London Ambassadors


Ian Potts and David Millican volunteer to welcome Olympic visitors

Two Ealing Councillors, Ian Potts and David Millican, will be volunteering at the Olympics this summer. Along with 8,000 others, they will members of the Mayor's London Ambassadors team.

Councillor David Millican, who represents Northfields Ward, said, "The Olympics is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I'm thrilled to be able to play my part. I shall be managing a team of volunteers at Hyde Park, where the huge live screen will be presenting all the events. We'll be there to act as hosts offering advice and help to the thousands of visitors expected every day at Hyde Park"

Councillor Ian Potts, who represents Ealing Broadway Ward, said, "I'll be working as a volunteer at Paddington Station, where we expect thousands coming through every day. I'm so excited to have the opportunity to welcome so many visitors and make their Games more enjoyable"

Other London Ambassadors include Frank Lampard, Stephen Fry, Harry Redknapp and Tamzin Outhwaite.
