Longfield Avenue to Close to Traffic

For work on the Dickens Yard development

Longfield Avenue, the road that runs alongside Ealing Town Hall and Perceval House in Ealing Broadway, will be shut to traffic for an eight to 12 week period from Monday 22 August.

The closure is to allow for new drains, electrical cable, gas cables and water pipes to be laid for the Dickens Yard development. Closing the road for a longer time means that utility companies can be co-ordinated to complete their work in one block, rather than causing multiple disruptions.

The pavement on the Perceval House side of the road will remain open to pedestrians for the duration of the works. Pedestrian access along the Ealing Town Hall side of Longfield Avenue will be restricted to emergency access only.

And the street parking bays in front of Perceval House will be suspended while the works take place, however, the public disabled bays opposite the staff entrance will still be available.

The road will be closed from the junction of Uxbridge Road to the junction of the Perceval House car park slip road. Members of the public who wish to use the Perceval House car park in the evenings and at weekends will still be able to access it from Gordon Road.
