Human Remains Found By Workman in West Ealing

Forensic investigation underway to try and discover more information

A gardener working on the roof of Lovelace House in Uxbridge Road, West Ealing has made a gruesome find.

The workman was tidying up the garden last week when he uncovered part of a jawbone among some pebbles.

He initially thought it was an animal bone and took it back home to show his family but realised it could be human remains and handed it over to police in Surrey who confirmed his suspicions.

Officers from Ealing returned to the scene and searched the garden area where they found fragments of human teeth.

A full forensic investigation of both the jawbone and teeth is underway and dental records and missing person files are being checked.

No arrests have been made.

Police enquiries continue.
