Violent Attack Near Hanwell Railway Station

Police appeal for witnesses to unprovoked assault

A 39 year old man has been threatened with a knife and attacked after leaving Hanwell Railway Station last Thursday morning (24th September).

Police say shortly before the assault he had noticed a red toyota driving at speed, then, along York Avenue he was approached by a man who pulled a knife and tried to stab him.

When a passer-by raised the alarm the man ran back to his car and drove off.

The victim made his way towards Church Road but close to the Shell Petrol Station he was again confronted by the suspect who tried to punch him.

Police say it was an unprovoked attack and are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

The suspect is described as an Asian male with light brown skin, around 30 years old, approximately 180 cm tall, slim to medium build.

He was wearing a grey hooded jacket and dark blue jeans.
