Cars Seized and Garage Shut Down in Isleworth

Police investigation moves from Southall

Around 300 cars have been seized after garage owners - under investigation following claims of assault and fraud - relocated from Southall to Isleworth.

The vehicles were seized from Clock Tower Road, Isleworth and the unit closed down on Monday (November 21) by police officers along with staff from Ealing Council and the Insolvency Service.

The cars will now be returned to their owners.

Police said the garage owners had relocated to Isleworth from an address in Brent Road, Southall.

There had been numerous complaints from customers about the Brent Road site, including alleged assault, theft of motor vehicles and possible fraud. Sky News investigated the garage and their team was allegedly manhandled off the premises.

A police raid at the site in May of this year resulted in several arrests.

Detective Chief Superintendent Andy Rowell, Ealing borough commander, said: “The level of complaints we have been receiving about this premises had to be acted upon.

“We are committed to ensuring that the investigation continues in a professional manner and anyone identified as being involved in any wrong doing is held to account.

“We will continue to work with other organisations to ensure the public are protected from criminality.

“Moving this amount of vehicles to another location and returning them to their rightful owners is a huge task and I would ask the public to bear with us.”

* Five men were arrested on 19 May and remain on bail pending further enquiries.
