Rumours Following Baby's Death Unfounded


Police say incident in Southall is being treated as non-suspicious

Police have issued a message of reassurance to residents following the death of a one year old in Southall.

DI Naz Rana Ealing CID said 'We are aware of unfounded rumours around this incident and we want to confirm there have no arrests and no criminal offences have come to light at this time.

'We want reassure the community that we are doing all we can to help the family at this difficult time and thank the community for their support.'

On Thursday 18 October, officers were called at around 1.10pm to reports of a woman and a baby injured after falling through a communal window at Timor Court in Longford Avenue.

Emergency service found a woman in her thirties and a one-year-old baby outside the building with injuries.

The baby boy was taken to a west London hospital in a critical condition. He died shortly after arrival.

The woman sustained wrist injuries and cuts to the head for which she required hospital treatment. She has since been discharged.

The death is being treated as a non-suspicious incident.
