Hanwell Woman Aims to Launch Community Juice Bar
Would be centre providing training for people with disabilities

A woman from Hanwell, who is the mother of four children with special needs, is looking for support to set up a community juice bar in the area.
Elaisha Bedasee, who is a trustee at the St Ann’s Foundation, wants to open a centre that will serve as a community hub and training individuals with disabilities. The planned facility aims to provide hands-on life skills training for individuals with disabilities to promote independence and confidence in everyday living.
Her youngest son attends St Ann’s School in Hanwell, a school rated as outstanding, which known for its exceptional support for students with special needs.
She started creating fresh fruit and vegetable juices, infused with additional supplements to promote better health. What started as a personal endeavour quickly blossomed into a family project. Elaisha discovered that her children were not just enthusiastic about making the juices; they were also learning valuable life skills in the process.
Elaisha said, “My experiences have taught me that individuals with disabilities will always face challenges in their lives. With that understanding, I realised that I needed to take better care of myself while providing support for my children, who depend on me.”
Recognising the potential for a broader impact, Elaisha took her juices into the community, where they received an enthusiastic response. She added, “People wanted our juices, and most importantly, my older children were learning money management, how to interact with others, and so much more. This is what’s needed for us, our community, and all the caregivers who are struggling to find themselves.”
She has identified a potential location for the juice bar and is actively working on securing a long-term lease. The funds raised through her GoFundMe page will help lease the property for 10 years, purchase necessary equipment, and promote the initiative within the community, her target is £4,500.
She says, “This juice bar will not only serve fresh products but also offer a purpose, and an opportunity for individuals to change the trajectory of their lives.
“Every donation, no matter how small, can make a real difference.”
