The Show Goes on for 'Stavros'

Ealing electrician and son to perform with Britain's Got Talent Live

The 'Stavros Flatley' Greek-Irish dancing duo are taking their unique show on the road.

Ealing based electrician Demetri Demetriou and his 12 year-old son Lagi beat stiff competition to get through to the final of Britain's Got Talent.

The dance group Diversity were the overall winners but father and son gained the admiration of judges Amanda Holden, Piers Morgan and even Simon Cowell with their interpretation of Riverdance.

Since appearing on television, the pair have received an overwhelming response. They now have more than 700,000 followers on their facebook page.

Despite his national profile, Mr. Demetriou continues to work for the Kier Group - where he has been for eight years - providing property maintenance services for Ealing Council.

Kier Ealing’s client liaison manager Martin Clifford said:

''Demetri is a very popular member of staff at our Ealing contract and also supplies operatives to other London contracts including Hammersmith & Fulham, Harrow and Islington. He is a regular contributor to our resident forums and client workshops and it was hilarious to see Demetri and his son on TV.''

Britain's Got Talent Live opens in Birmingham on Friday June 12th and arrives in London on the 21st and 22nd June at Wembley Arena and on the 27th June at Hammersmith Apollo.
