Two new restaurants are poised to open in the Ealing area, one at the Filmworks development and the other in the former premises of TSB on New Broadway.

Bobo Social will be opening its third site in Ealing on 31 May at 3-4 Filmworks Walk (W5 5FA). It provides high-end burgers and small plate snacks. The first in the chain opened on Charlotte Street in 2014 and a second followed in Walworth although, according to reports on its social media accounts, this may be about to close.

The Ealing venue will have seating for 120 inside with an additional 40 places if the outdoor terrace is available. It will feature an open kitchen and seats at a long cocktail bar. A daily brunch menu will be available between 9am and 3pm and includes the Full Bobo Breakfast and, later in the day, an à la carte menu will include starters and sharing plates such as chilli salt squid, braised lamb croquettes and Devon crab tostada, while lighter options will include the warm goats’ cheese with Waldorf salad and Bobo’s smash burger. Its Smash Burger is the most popular dish at its other venues. For dessert, the warm chocolate fondant is their bestseller.

The owner and founder, Michael Benson, is a long-term Ealing resident himself, has been planning a launch in the area for a long time.

Soon afterwards US chicken chain Wingstop will be coming to New Broadway. It has recently received consent to refit the former TSB premises which closed in May 2022. It already has 44 outlets with another 15 planned for this year including the Ealing branch with a target of 300 across the UK to add to over 2,000 in the US. It gets a significant amount of its business through online delivery services.

The Ealing branch will be run by Lemon Pepper Holdings which is the company’s UK franchisee.

The chain provides Buffalo-style wings, burgers and fries as well as milkshakes and a churro selection for dessert. It has a number of celebrity fans including west London rappers AJ Tracey and Central Cee as well as Stormzy.
