Local resident hits the road for Leukaemia Research

Help John Furzer reach his target

Message from John Furzer, Ealing Resident

The London Bikeathon is an annual event organised in aid of Leukaemia Research, the only national research charity devoted exclusively to leukaemia and related blood disorders in both children and adults.

Leukaemia Research receives no government grants and is totally dependent upon voluntary donations and fundraising events such as the London Bikeathon. Last year's London Bikeathon was a great success with 4000 cyclists taking part. There are several routes to choose from and at this year's event, I will again be taking the Scenic Ride, a circular route from Ham Common, through Richmond Park to Royal Hospital Chelsea. Every amount you raise helps improve and save more lives. 1 in 25 people will develop a blood cancer in their lifetime. By cycling the streets of London on Sunday 17th July, I will be joining thousands of other people in helping to make a real difference to the lives of adults and children across the UK.

Following on from my success in last year's event where I exceeded my target of £300, I have this year set my target at £450 and would ask you to kindly support me for this worthwhile charity. In order to make donating and collecting of sponsorship more convenient, you can click on the attached link to my sponsorship page on the official London Bikeathon site, which enables you to pledge your donations securely online: www.justgiving.com/JohnFurzer

Once again, many thanks for your generosity and support!
