Speak Out in Hounslow Needs New Trustees
Support Brentford based charity with just a few hours a month
Speak Out in Hounslow is a leading local charity that supports adults with learning disabilities.
Based in Brentford it is looking for new
trustees to join the Management Committee.
Running for 20 years, Speak Out is funded by
donations, grants & the Big Lottery Fund. There are
two Directors who run things with a sta ff of nine.
Lots of projects serve the 500 members
from arts and cra fts through to travel training,
exercise groups through to campaigning.
As a charity, the Management Committee meet
for 2 hours every 6 weeks to advise and support
the Directors in running the organisation. The committee needs strengthening with
new trustees. General all
rounders are needed, but also those can bring financial
or HR knowledge.
Trustees are unpaid but travel expenses are refunded and tasty refreshments are on offer at the meetings based in the QWest office. Being a trustee is a great thing to have on your CV.
