Drug dealing/Using
The team have received some good information from residents regarding
drug dealing in Brentford. Numerous warrants have been executed under
Operation Hawk since the last update, resulting in arrests for possession with
intent to supply Class A and B drugs.
PCSOs have been leaflet dropping in roads surrounding recent Operation
Hawk warrants, raising awareness in the community regarding the local work
Brentford Safer Neighbourhood are doing. This has led to further intelligence
          from the community.

A new role of sector intelligence officer established to obtain information received with efforts to collate intelligence for the subsequent application of search warrants from the Magistrates court.
Burglary
Burglary is a particularly damaging offence for the victim and the surrounding
community. Brentford SNT and Hounslow Police as a whole take this crime
very seriously. Every offence which is committed is scrutinised by the
Serious and Acquisitive Crime Unit to ensure no opportunity to identify
offenders is missed. We have now introduced a tactic referred to as‘cocooning’ to follow up on every residential burglary. Any offence committed
is managed by an experienced detective, we lead in following up with the
victim and conducting door to door enquiries in the surrounding area to warn
local residents of the crime, to identify witnesses and to look for opportunities
to give crime prevention advice.
PCSOs are engaging with any residents they see reminding them of the
importance of securing there house during the day and night. The team are
working alongside the Borough Intelligence unit, identifying known burglars
within the local area looking to execute warrants in the near future. With
increased patrols and the use of covert officers in unmarked police vehicles
and duel patrol with local authority wardens.

 ASB
The ASB (Anti Social Behaviour) Summer Initiative started on the 4th of June
and runs until the 30th of September.

It is designed to allow the police to tackle the constant problems that occur in
certain areas. There are various strands of ASB some of which are listed below.
If any form of ASB is causing you problems please do not hesitate to get in
contact with local police via the various means of communication.
Some of you may have already been visited by officers during the recent "Street-A-Week" campaign. This is to assist the police in ascertaining where
the problems are and using the right strategy to improve your quality of life.

There is an ASB surgery on August the 2nd at the church on Town Hall
Avenue. Please feel free to come along and speak with officers with whatever
concerns you have regarding ASB in Chiswick and Brentford.
Further to this "Theme Weeks" will run from the end of June to the end of
September. Using all intelligence gathered we will be implementing various
tactics and deployments to specified areas throughout each specific week in
order to combat whatever the issues are.
As promised the ASB issues being targeted are drugs misuse/dealing, street drinking/begging, noise, rowdy behaviour, animal related problems,
vandalism, abandoned vehicles, intimidation, prostitution and litter.
All information you provide WILL be actioned.

Syon Ward
Drug dealing/Using
The team have received images from Council wardens showing individuals
dealing drugs. Warrants have been obtained from court and several warrants
have been executed resulting in arrests for Class A drugs.

 Burglary
The team were recently on patrol in Ealing Road when they responded to a
burglary in progress. They obtained a detailed description from the victim and
started searching the local roads. They obtained good visual CCTV images
from the wardens and were able to trace his route. This led to further
evidence being found. Enquiries are ongoing to apprehend the suspect.

Theft and/or taking pedal cycles
The team continue to stop and account individuals on bikes due to the high
volume of bike crime on the sector. Crime prevention stands have been held
at high risk locations such as West Middlesex hospital.

Other Work
Operation “Street a Week” has been running for several weeks across the
sector. Safer Neighbourhood officers have chosen several roads on the ward
and knocked on every door to speak to residents. This Operation is used to
gather intelligence from residents and really find out what issues are affecting
them. Any issues are then resolved either by Police or partnership agencies.
Issues coming to notice so far are neighbour disputes and noise pollution.
