Robbery and Attempted Robbery
On Wednesday 2nd October, around 08:30am to 08:50am an elderly female was attacked and robbed near Boston Park Road, close to‘Our Lady and St. John’s Primary Schoo’.  The attack, in broad daylight during school term time was particularly nasty taking into account the victim’s age.  If anyone traveling along Windmill Road, or indeed taking their child to school at Our Lady and St. John’s Primary School that morning saw someone or something suspicious, the police would like to hear from you.

In another incident, during the evening of Monday 2nd September, a young Hamilton Road resident, walking home alone along Boston Manor Road after a shopping trip to Brentford, was suddenly confronted by a man demanding money.  The resident was far younger than the would be assailant. The resident quickly side-stepped the assailant and rushed home arriving home moments later shaken but unhurt. 

Suspicious Utility Man
A Hamilton Road resident recently answered a knock at their front door and was  confronted by a man who said that he was from G4S and asking to read the resident’s gas and electric meter.  The resident was immediately suspicious as the man spoke  difficult to understand English.  When asked by the resident to show some form of   identification, the man reluctantly showed what appeared to be an ID hung around his neck but without actually allowing the resident the opportunity to take a close look at it.  The man then asked for the resident’s name and address and immediately apologized, claiming that he was at the wrong address, the man then departed.  The resident was now very suspicious and after the man had left, dialed 101 to inform the police. A police patrol arrived shortly after and searched the area for the man, but he could not be located.
   

Recent Burglaries and Attempted Burglary
During the early hours of Saturday 7th September the café in Boston Manor Park was broken into.  Whoever committed the burglary also set fire to the interior of the café.

On the 27th/28th August, there was evidence of an attempted break-in at a property in ‘The Ride’, Brentford.  The resident was not at home at the time.  It is not known why this attempted burglary was unsuccessful. 

Residents are advised to be ever vigilant against burglary and keep windows and doors closed and locked when premises are left unoccupied for any length of time. Opportunist burglars are quick to spot open windows and doors and would have no compassion or sympathy for their victim(s) taking whatever they wanted once gaining entry into the property.       

Halloween, Thursday 31st October, 2013
Thursday 31st October is Halloween night.  No one wants to spoil the fun of youngsters dressed as witches and wizards accompanied by adults knocking on our doors “trick and treating”, but please do not be distracted by other less welcome callers who may use Halloween as an excuse to gain entry into homes for unlawful purposes.
