Brentford library looking for young volunteers over the summer

Hounslow libraries are looking for volunteers aged 13-24 over the summer holiday to help with the Summer Reading Challenge.
The Summer Reading Challenge takes place every year during the summer holidays. This year it will be starting 16th July and will end 10th September.

It is aimed at children aged 4 to 11 years, regardless of their reading ability. It is run in very nearly all libraries in the UK and it is completely free to join.

Children enrol onto the scheme at their local library, choose any books they wish and borrow them from the library to read either at home or in the library. After they have read their books, volunteers will support them by asking very simple questions about the story or suggest they write a simple review in order to receive their rewards.

To complete the challenge they must read six books, where upon they will receive a certificate and a medal from the Summer Reading Challenge volunteers.
