Katie Bird stood in for Ruth Cadbury on Remembrance Sunday
Brentford School for Girls student Katie Bird who is Year 11 had the honour of laying the remembrance wreath on behalf of Brentford and Isleworth MP Ruth Cadbury at the Remembrance Service at Brentford’s memorial.
          Ruth Cadbury  MP said “I was delighted that Katie was able to lay my wreath on Sunday, while  I was at the Isleworth Remembrance Day Service. Laying of wreaths symbolise our  acknowledgment of the service of those who sacrificed their lives for our peace.”
          
          Katie  who is currently studying for her GCSE’s said “It was such an honour to be able to  lay the wreath on such an important day. It is an experience I will never  forget” Katie Coleman, Deputy Headteacher added, “we are extremely proud of  Katie and representing our school community”
