Tea Dances

Join in a social afternoon of Ballroom, Latin and Sequence dancing, or just come along and listen to the sounds of the DJ’s selection of popular dance tunes. All levels of ability are welcome and a partner is not necessary. Free 30 minute dance lesson at 2pm; tea dance begins at 2.30pm. ​ Ticket price of £8.50 includes glass of Prosecco, or a cup of tea / coffee.

CONCERT Phil Kelsall MBE at the Mighty Wurlitzer
Sunday 3rd February - 3:00 pm ​ Blackpool Comes to Brentford! Don’t miss the opportunity to hear Phil Kelsall at the museum’s Mighty Wurlitzer. This world famous organist has been resident organist at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom for over forty years, and tours frequently across the UK and abroad. Phil is equally well-known for his significant body of recordings, and will play an entertaining programme of popular music. Tickets: £13.50

CLASSIC FILM Romance on the High Seas

From the Atlantic to the Pacific no musical ever so terrific! Romantic misunderstandings abound when spouses suspect each other of being unfaithful, and a nightclub singer takes a cruise under a false identity. SILENT FILM Wings with Donald MacKenzie at the Mighty Wurlitzer
Sunday 17th February - 2:30 pm
Wings is the finest American silent war film, set during the First World War. Directed by Lucien Hubbard, it stars Clara Bow, Charles “Buddy” Rogers and Richard Arlen. Hundreds of extras and some 300 pilots were involved in the filming, including pilots and planes of the United States Army Air Corps. and it was acclaimed for its technical prowess and realism upon release. Donald MacKenzie, from the Odeon Leicester Square, will be at the Wurlitzer to provide live accompaniment to this thrilling and dramatic cinematic experience. ​ Tickets: £13.50

HALF-TERM FUN The Teddy Bear's Picnic
Thursday 21st February
Sessions at 11:00am and 2:00pm ​ This is a family day for children and their teddy bears with a mini-tour of the museum’s musical instruments featuring a rendition of A Teddy Bears’ Picnic with percussion accompaniment from children and teddy bears. Activities also include a teddy bear hunt and art & craft time. Tickets: £6.50 (maximum 3 children per accompanying adult.) Fruit juice/water & teddy bear biscuit included in ticket price for children. Advance booking essential.

CLASSIC FILM Seven Brides for Seven Brothers

When a backwoodsman brings a wife home to his farm, his six brothers decide that they want to get married too. This all-singing all-dancing comedy stars Jane Powell and Howard Keel. Originally billed as a ‘once in a lifetime musical romp’ it features an Oscar-winning soundtrack by Gene de Paul. Tickets: £7.50/£6.00 concs.

Minnelli directs this musical film version of the acclaimed Broadway production about a Baghdad poet who charms his way into the Wazir’s harem. ATOS UK Young Theatre Organist of the Year Competition

Join us for some great music featuring the Wurlitzer stars of the future - past winners include Richard Hills FRCO, Matthew Bason and Michael Wooldridge.  Robert Eldrige won last year. WURLITZER CONCERT Len Rawle MBE at the Mighty Wurlitzer

Len Rawle MBE has been at the heart of the UK theatre organ scene for many years, and was featured on the very first episode of “The Organist Entertains.” He has played the museum’s Wurlitzer for concerts on many occasions and makes a welcome return to play a selection of light music, numbers from the Big Band era and West End musicals. ​ Tickets: £13.50

CLASSIC FILM Gigi
Sunday 14th April - 3:00 pm ​
Weary of the conventions of Parisian society, a rich playboy and a youthful courtesan-in-training enjoy a platonic friendship, but it may not stay platonic for long. Opening hours

The Museum is open on Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Bank Holiday Mondays from 10:30am to 5pm, last entry is at 4pm.

Tours with live demonstrations of self playing instruments and the Mighty Wurlitzer take place at 11am, 1pm & 3pm.

Group Visits

The Museum is open on any day for groups consisting of 20 people or more. Please contact the museum for further details.
