Pledge a few pounds for gardening tools for Disability Network Hounslow

Not everyone has access to a garden, or the time and energy to work a plot on their own. Disability Network Hounslow want to invite members of the community to join them in their allotment in the garden of the Friends Meeting House in Quakers Lane, Isleworth.

There will be several open days over the summer where people can come for an hour or two, either to work or just to watch and chat. And there will also be sessions on jam, pickle and soup making.

Funds are needed to buy more tools and essential equipment, and so a crowdfunding page has been created on Spacehive.

If you would like to back this project, please visit https://www.spacehive.com/isleworth-community-allotment

Pledges can be as little as £2 and will only be charged if the project reaches its target of £804 by 16 June.

Virgina from DNH said "Gardening offers so much. It exercises our bodies and soothes our minds.

"Working with the seasons and the weather helps us find our place in nature; working with other people, sharing our knowledge, gives us a sense of common purpose. Please support us!

"And if you’re interested in working with us, call 07810 292361 or email virginia@disabilitynetworkhounslow.org  We’d love to hear from you."
DNH are going to have a stall at the Saturday market in Old Isleworth on 2nd June. Do go and say hello.
