Brentford has Dragons...
... and the challenge is to face them

Have you ever had a bright idea that you considered worthwhile pursuing?Have you ever invented a gadget in your head that would change lives?Have you ever thought of a business idea but not been able to put it to practice? Are you an inventor? Do you have grand designs? Do you have a cunning plan? IF you answered YES to any of the above THIS IS FOR YOU! Last year Brentford Chamber of Commerce put these same questions to Students from University of West London. The challenge was to come up with an idea for a business or an invention. The prepared ideas were pitched before our Dragons, selected from both business and sport sectors. Up against business ideas, culinary creations, health projects and others, 2 women won the final with their ‘Handy Bra’: an ingenious bra with a side pocket for a key, oyster and credit card. They won £500 and now have a mentor from a local and well-known company, to help them on their way. So it’s not just the egg heads with complicated schemes that turn up trumps. There is no age limit, the only criteria is that you live in Brentford.  Still interested? Here’s how to have a go: HOW
