Police seek panel members to decide local priorities
The South Acton Police Safer Neighbourhoods team would like to give residents and those people who work on South Acton Ward the opportunity to become a member of the South Acton Ward Neighbourhood Panel.
The panel is made up of local people who live / work in the area or are involved in charitable work or have a close connection with the area.
The purpose of the neighbourhood panel is to agree a realistic and achievable course of action to address the issues raised by the local community.
The panel will review priorities agreed at previous meetings and monitor progress. When a priority has been resolved a new problem will be agreed.
The panel sits every two months at Acton High School.
The current priorities agreed at the last panel meeting are drug dealing and anti social behaviour on The South Acton Estate and Crown Street, W3.
In addition to priority setting the neighbourhood panel will be fully involved in deciding what type of action should be taken on the communities concerns and have an input to the problem solving approach.
Anyone who is interested is asked to contact Sergeant Danny Williams of the South Acton Safer Neighbourhood Team on the details listed in the box (right).
Your dedicated Safer Neighbourhoods team is here to make a difference in your community. If you have concerns about day-to-day crime and disorder issues, please contact a member of your local team.
